Framing Freedom, made in partnership with Nomad Media International, tells the inspiring story of Brody, a 16-year-old high school student from Boston. He embarks on a transformative three-month journey to create an interactive experience that empowers others to discover their authentic selves through the lens of a camera.

Known as a deep thinker and compassionate human being, Brody draws upon his experience with a camera lens and the sense of freedom it gave him to reveal his authentic self.

The film follows his journey as he builds and discusses the critical elements of his working photo booth, Solidarity Confinement. Outside the booth, black plexiglass enables participants to reflect on themselves. Inside, wood frames the confined space, encouraging participants to sign their names in solidarity with the project. Lastly, he uses the classic mugshot background to represent the confinement of the experience.

Once Solidarity Confinement is completed, footage and interviews with students and faculty highlight the overall experience and reinforce the importance of being kind and true to oneself.
